Yosemite - Profile Manager - Finder Preferences

I am in the process of upgrading my mac suite to Yosemite. I am trying to set the finder side bar so that I can remove icloud drive etc... and have just the documents, music, videos etc... and the users home area which is on a windows server. When I was running WGM on Mavericks, I could log in, set the finder preferences and then grab com.apple.sidebar.plist and put it into WGM. All of the users would then have the same sidebar. This doesn't seem to work with Profile Manager. I have tried looking to see if I can script it, but I don't really know applescript.

 

Has anyone else had similar issues and managed to work around them?

I've had this very issue and sadly with Yosemite this issue came up and not fixable. If you change the settings and copy the .plist into the default user profile it will work but then shortcuts like home folder, desktop etc. will point to the wrong user.

Hopefully Apple will come up with a solution for this.
