Evening all, posted this in the wrong forum originally! Whoops.. But as I understand it veam only backs up virtual machines...

 

So those out there using veam, would be interested to find out how you backup your physical servers?

 

Do you pay for another solution as well as veam?

The only thing we have on physical servers now is user data (we use Windows Server 2012 as our storage for both hyper-V and user data, so no SAN or the like for our cluster). So, we use BackupAssist to deal with that - its cheap and it works well.

 

We don't back up the physical Hyper-V nodes - there's no point. The time it'd take to restore is pretty much the same as setting up a new hyper-V cluster.
