Hi,

 

one of our schools has an old website that they wish to take down but they have no documentation on it, and they cant tell us who is hosting it. All they know is the website address. how would we go about getting this website taken down for them? any advice would be great.

do a WHOIS on the domain , they will tell you who is hosting it , contact them for help. you may have to

1) provide an official letter to gain access

2) setup and admin@ or webmaster@ email address for the domain you can access (for them to send out confirmation)

3) in extreme circumstances you can contact nominet to help
