Hi Everyone,

I am looking to implement a school calendar and would like to integrate it with Outlook 2013 if possible, we currently use gmail as our choice of email and even with the syncing tools this has its faults i.e.

  • Everyone is signed into the same calendar so everyone get reminders for things that don't involve them
  • anyone can delete someone else's appointments (as they are in as the same user)

I am wanting if possible in addition to using it in Outlook using it on the ipads as well, if there is an app for the ipad and a link to Outlook for the laptops that would be great, if anyone can recommend anything for me to look at that would be great.

There's not a great deal you can do about that - in O365 you can add attendees to a specific meeting, but this has no bearing on who receives the notification.

The only solution (as far as I can see), is for the person to send out initiations to the attendees directly, so the appointment appears on their own calendar only.

As for permissions, I guess it depends if you want all staff to be able to contribute or only read. Again this is possible with O365.

The Outlook App for iPad for example is a bit naff, it doesn't work with Shared Calendars, but the built in tools in Apple's iOS allow you to add multiple accounts. The Shared Calendar (and possibly others), then all sync to the built in Calendar App on the iPad.
