Really helpful error message from acrobat reader

One of the teachers is using IE11 to open PDFs from Unit-E (our MIS from Crapita). It randomly does this

I've shown her where the PDFs live on the shared drive and suggests she opens them that way.

What version of Adobe Reader? Have you tried resetting IE to defaults and deleting the cache?
