Screen cleaner liquid

We have decided that our cleaners are to take on the task of cleaning our computer screens and keyboards here.

 

So, I'm looking for a source of sensible quantities of screen cleaner (either in big bottle format that we can put in spray bottles, or sensibly sized spray bottles).

 

A search online is turning up a variety of bottles sized from 50-200ml but those are not really a useful amount.

 

Anyone know where I can get this stuff?

I use Wilko window cleaner and a J Cloth. Very cheap and works extremely well. Any brand of window cleaner will do, but Wilko's is local to us. Works great on your iPad too!

We use AF computer Screen-clene, not seen it in a bottle larger than 250ml though.

 

1 bottle will clean through our whole site of 400 screens.

All the advice I've seen is never to use window cleaner as it can take the surface off the screen, especially if you have anti-glare LCD screens.

We use a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol (whoever Chemistry use for supplies) and distilled water (the still in Chemistry).

 

Ask your science dept to make a bottle full and trial it? It removes most things from most other things here.

I use Durable Screenclean fluid, the 250ml bottle lasts a very long time, I go round cleaning our interactive screens and monitors once a fortnight and 4 squirts is enough to do the 70" display with enough left on the cloth to clean the teachers monitor too.

I'd advise against windows cleaner in case it contained ammonia or alcohol, both with attack the film/coating on the front of screens. And make sure they are all instructed to spray onto the cloth and not the screen.

This is another thing I've seen advised against, as anti-glare screen coatings can be damaged by the alcohol.

I use distilled water and a microfibre cloth for screens and staff laptop keyboards. I think if we were doing desktop keyboards on students machines I'd want something with an antibacterial agent or thinking about the state of some of the keyboards, perhaps call in a napalm strike.

And onto a cloth not the screen. it runs down behind the trim then can get sucked up by capillary action. LCD ruined.

I have visions of a cleaner using the same cloth they use for the tables and chairs straight onto the monitors.

Saw it at my last place, and the cleaners didn't even have to do the screens, one thought they'd be helpful. Caught them in time and no damage done.

For keyboards and the like i use:

 

Office Depot Multi purpose Foam Cleaner 400ml by Viking

 

Brings the lustre back to the plastic and removes poop, makes it look new and shiny..
