cheekycharly Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Hi all we recently migrated over to Lexia web based from the original local install. Since we moved over we are having major issues using the software. Once logged in as a student we find the speech doesn't always play and is somewhat delayed by up-to 20-30 seconds and clicking on words objects sometimes just doesn't register leaving the children infuriated. I have logged in with my Administrator log in and the software works fine! so it seems to only be on a students login that the issue occurs. Our Fibre speed is very good so its not a bandwidth issue and i have added all the url Lexia gave me to the Lightspeed proxy. Anyone got any ideas its really bugging me and the students. Thanks
william_tropico Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Hi, Did you ever get a solution for this? We were using the web version but after similar problems to you we went to the local install version. All the system requirements are met and urls added to safe/allow list.
cheekycharly Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 Software support from Lexia could never come up with an answer so we are still running it as local install on the client machines. I haven't tried it since my post date though so don't know if it is now resolved on the newer versions of Cloud Lexia but I don't get the time to do testing.
Achandler Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 We had a similar problem because of Internet Explorer, Chrome worked/ works fine.
rama1712 Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 We are having the same issues moving to do the local install Everthing whitelisted and nothing being blocked by our smoothwall. Anyone else get a solution
cheekycharly Posted June 23, 2017 Author Posted June 23, 2017 We are back on local install and haven't had problems since. I spoke with UK and US support who had no answers to the issue and denied it existed and blamed all the hardware which was brand new.
rama1712 Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 We went local and it runs like a dream will better than internet running, Never bother contact lexiasupport after reading this, I did tell our account manager about this thread and he was aware of the thread but said each site different.
