I need to let a user install a printer from a server 2012 r2.

The Setup:

Client:

win7

2 profiles

Administrator (uses password to logon),

User (does not have a password to logon, the profil logons with netplwiz)

When I install the printer on the administrator profile it works (administrator password is the same on the client and the server 2012 r2)

When I install the printer on the user profile it does not work, BUT if I give the user profile a password on the client and on the server 2012 r2 (same password) it works.

The problem is that the user can NOT have a password, It MUST logon via Netplwiz.

Any idears to overcome this little problem.?

It looks like this is working for me.

Guest account:enable

In

local security policy -> Local policy -> Security options

Network access: Shares that can be accessed anonymously:

Print$

Network access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users:

Enable

Security settings -> account policies

Password must meet complexity requirements:

Disable

Sounds like Point and Print restrictions for driver signing / installation

In Group Policy > Computer Configuration> Policies > Administrative Templates > Printers

Set the option for Point and Print Restrictions to Disabled
