Tom91 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 (edited) Hi, I have a problem where the server (2012) is using Windows Backup, but will only successfully complete a backup if it has been rebooted the previous day, it will then backup successfully for a few days but then stop again. I have looked in the logs and it seems that it starts and completes pretty much 2 minutes apart but there is nothing in the Messages section where you can see if it has backed up. Any ideas? I'm backing up to a USB hard disk, and is scheduled every night. Edited June 26, 2015 by Tom91
sted Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 does the hard disk still show as mounted as ive had 2012 drop drives over time causing backups to fail (granted it was vhd files on nas boxes/other pcs but the vhd just went from disk manager and sometimes wouldnt reload until id rebooted the nas
Tom91 Posted June 26, 2015 Author Posted June 26, 2015 Nope it stays mounted, can always see it in disk manager and have also had it given a drive letter so I can see it in Explorer.
Davit2005 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Is this a physical backup server or hosted in a virtual environment??
