Hi

I have a couple of physical Windows 2008 SP2 servers (ver 6.0.6002) that in an ideal world I would like to do an inplace upgrade to Windows 2012R2 (the domain is already running W2K12R2). One server has nothing but home directories on it while the other also has home directories as well as Papercut NG and most of the print queues for the school.

Is an inplace upgrade a bad idea or can someone confirm it actually upgrades as easily as M$ claim?

Cheers

The home one shouldn't be a problem if you have nothing special setup on it, but the print one you'll need to do print migration etc else you'll lose them normally
