Fix one problem, greeted by another...

My DirSync is fine but for one problem! It imports my users with '*.onmicrosoft.com'. Obviously I want it as my *.sch.uk address without having to change it after. My AD e-mail entries and user account information is correct, so what am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

Is proxyAddress populated in AD with the correct SMTP address. If not add the address and try syncing. Also does the UPN for your users match their email address? I believe this was a requirement for DirSync, but may have changed in more recent versions.

The only reason you would be adding a proxy address is if you wanted 2 addresses for your primary domain (or another alternative domain such as a .org.uk)

As @robjduk posted above, the UPN suffix needs to be set to your primary e-mail domain for your users which is simple enough to adjust and was part of the Microsoft guide when we moved over a couple of years ago, as our AD was created many years ago as a .internal and not a subset of our FQDN as recommended now.

Your users will always receive an e-mail sent to their blah.onmicrosoft.com account regardless of the vanity domain you associate with the user.
