neilmc Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Can anyone recommend a projector for me? Ive had a look around but can't find anything matching what I want and wondered if any of your guys have any recommendations. First off its not for a school, and we are looking to invest in a decent projector. It's for he church I go to, at the moment we meet in a hotel function room and I'm looking for a projector something like the following..... HD 5000 Lumens Short Throw (Or changeable lens) Price? not sure if there is anything out there below £3000 that would be great. Thanks for you help
witch Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Dunno if they do one to match your spec but the Casios are brilliant
JATSO Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 I second the Casio's. Have a look at http://www.avpartsmaster.co.uk they tend to do them all and have a couple of tools check the throw etc.
pcstru Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 HD 5000 Lumens Short Throw (Or changeable lens) Price? not sure if there is anything out there below £3000 that would be great. That is a tough spec. The BenQ SU917 should be close and come under budget but that would depend on lens to make up for the fact that it is not short throw.
VeryPC_Anthony_L Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 The Casio's are great projectors but not sure if they would meet the requirements that have been asked for having looked at the specs. At VeryPC we love the Casio range for classrooms. Projectors with interchangeable lenses demand a higher price and often their is a charge for the projector body and the lens separately. I would suggest looking at the Epson and Nec range of projectors. They offer a wider selection of projectors which can come with interchangeable lenses. Another thing to look at and think about is full HD (1080p) or 720p HD . This is called 16:9 format. Generally you will find there are more projectors that sit either side of these resolutions and are 16:10 format projectors, giving either 1920 x 1200 or 1280 x 800. Hope that helps
ProjectorCentre Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Hi there, The Panasonic PT-VZ570 has a lens ratio of 1.1-1.8:1, a brightness of 4500 lumens. The Canon WX450ST, lens throw ration of 0.57:1, 4500 lumens. And another, the Optoma EH320USTP, lens throw ratio of 0.25:1, and a brightness of 4000 lumens. All of the above are under £3000. If you'd like more information and pricing, please contact me, [email protected] Thanks Rhys [h=3][/h]
