Hi, I am trying to deploy windows 8.1 via MDT 2013 update 1, using the TP version of ADK 10 on a 2012 R2 server. I can deploy Windows 7 just fine, but I am unable to get Windows 8.1 to successfully install. It fails just after the image has been applied (either during or after applying the unattend.xml with DISM stage).

You can occasionally reboot the devices and Windows has installed! Its just failed all the MDT settings. Although it has successfully done the computer name and domain join..?

This is the error I am getting:

A google suggests it is the lack of a network driver. So I downloaded and attached it to the boot image. But its still doing the exact error. I have tried two different task sequences to make sure that was not the issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, so I have managed, after 2 weeks of troubleshooting, managed to resolve it myself, 10 minutes after posting for help.. Typical.

Turns out it was a network driver missing. It looks as though my task sequence was just ignoring the drivers I had attached.

So I had to remove all my drivers and import them again into MDT. While I was at it, I tided up the structure too!

Next boot, I actually saw the drivers being imported one by one. Worked straight away!

Thanks anyway guys. Ill leave this here just in case any one else ever has the issue.
