Impero monitoring of laptops

With laptops that have the Impero client on, will monitoring of the device still be done if they are taken off site and not connected to the impero server?

 

Not sure if the client stores the information then uploads it to the server next time it connects

 

It would be really useful if we could track if laptops are being used at home and if so, what applications are being used

Im not sure if it would as the client is constantly talking to the server, if there is non connection to the server then i guess nothing happens. Its a bit like if you have the rule set "display a lock screen if theres no network connectivity" then the lock screen will always be shown.

 

I can see the OPs idea though and i guess it would be a nice feature to have and once connected back to the network the local log files are deleted.

As said if online continues to act on policies and record information and then will upload one connected back online.

That is good to know , might have to start installing on staff laptops now but i guess the trouble is if the laptop doesn't come back in for years would the data still be on the laptop and who it deleted after a certain amount of time?

If a laptop doesn't come back for "years" you might want to consider calling the police ha
