Outlook 2010

I currently have Office 2010 deployed across a school network, however, a number of users have reported that they have to run the 'Welcome To Outlook 2010' wizard each time they open Outlook even when they are using the same machine.

 

If their AppData folder was redirected through a group policy, would this resolve the issue?

You can use group policy and autodiscover to allow it to autoconfigure. Are you using mandatory profiles as normally you should only do that once per computer, assuming profiles are cached. Id avoid redirecting appdata personally

Import the group policy templates and turn off the first start wizard it will fix the issue.

Use GP to control how outlook behaves, we disabled all the things we didn't want staff and students to access, we have it configured to find users based on AD. Download the ADMX files online and have a look at the guide as well.
