HP 1920 Switch - Jumbo Frames

Does any know where to enable Jumbo Frames for a port on a HP 1920 switch, I cant find it anywhere in the awful web interface!

We have V1910 switches and jumbo frames are enabled by default (apparently).

 

You can access jumbo frames via the command line although I'm not sure if its the same for the 1920

It appears that Jumbo frames is enabled by default so cannot be changed.

This is what I would do on my HP Switches;

using the command line tool of your choice (Telnet or Putty usally) go in to config mode (conf t) and then type Show Vlans.

There will be a column named Jumbo, it will show YES if enabled.

 

If not type VLAN jumbo

then show vlans again to check it.

Write memory to say it to the start up config and exit out. You are all done.

 

Should work on any HP switch but I don't know your model.

I have a 1920 and am having troubles with JumboFrames. Can you share what the commands are that you used to see the jumboframes settings?

 

I enabled jumbo frames on all of my devices but still cannot get a packet larger than approx. 1200 through.

Reboot the switch, I'm serious. I was installing a set of redundant switches for a virtual cluster and enabled jumbos. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why communication between the hosts and the SAN were problematic. I spent nearly two hours banging my head against the wall until I found that even if the config was set on these Cisco switches they needed to be power cycled for the change to take effect. I would be willing to bet this is the same problem with your HP gear.
