hello all

I am testing if our Mac clients can get on the net via a smoothie box.

Have got AD clients to authenticate by setting up a 'directory' (uses kerberos).

Am now trying to set up a 'directory' to authenticate clients from macs. These are the settings:

LDAP Server: MACSERVER.LOCAL.INTERNAL

Username: uid=username,cn=user,dc=macserver,dc=local

Password: xxxx

Bind method: Kerberos

Kerberos realm: LOCAL.INTERNAL

User search root: cn=users,dc=macserver,dc=local,dc=internal

Group search root: cn=groups,dc=macserver,dc=local,dc=internal

Smoothie reports that the 'existence of user account uid=username,cn=user,dc=macserver,dc=local user unknown'.

Is it the username format that seems to be wrong? I've tried a few combinations.

Thanks.
