SMART Board compensating for an aspect ratio that we're not using!

Hi all,

 

I'm a bit stumped. We've got several SMART Boards around the school which seem to be compensating for the wrong aspect ratio.

 

Let me explain. It only happens when you're using your finger- SMART Ink works fine and is aligned properly. When using your finger to tap or click, it is accurate for a thin (vertical) segment in the middle of the board. As you tap towards the outer edges of the board, the cursor goes wildly out of alignment with the projected image, meaning Windows picks up your tap further to the left than you are actually tapping on the left side of the board, and vice versa on the right side of the board.

 

It's as if Windows touch overlay is still seeing a 16:9 aspect ratio (despite the projector and laptop being set to a 4:3 aspect ratio) and as such compensates for that.

 

Any one experienced this issue before? The boards are too old to be covered by SMART's support, but I might give them a whirl anyway.
