Hi All,

Does anyone have any idea what this means in plain English?

SIMS ERROR 22.5.15.jpg

Only on one user machine, when trying to run reports.

Bit rushed off my feet this morning, so would appreciate some help!

Thanks in advance.

If it's only happening with one report, try remaking it and seeing if the new version runs. I have known reports to become corrupted between upgrades, though admittedly I've not seen them crash SIMS entirely like that, they usually just give an error in a standard message box and don't run. Worth a try?

Our support contract sent this email on the 14th:

We have discovered an issue with SIMS caused by Microsoft Windows Security Patch 3023224. In SIMS you may find that if you attempt to select a date (eg when running a report) using the date picker tool, SIMS will crash with the following error code

1829-4733-7100

Operation not valid due to the state of the object

This error is likely to affect any SIMS workstation that has had Windows updates applied.

If you find any workstation that gives the error…

WHEN SELECTING ANY DATE ANYWHERE IN SIMS DO NOT USE THE CALENDAR PICKER, INSTEAD CLICK IN TO THE DATE FIELD AND TYPE THE DATE MANUALLY

We are awaiting a fix from Capita and will update schools as the issue progresses

Thanks to @JRowley - That workaround does the job!

And to @3s-gtech - Seems to be the patch I need (although it complains about updates to an SQL server should be done out-of-hours and that's a bit difficult if I work in-hours)!

Thanks again EDUGEEK!
