DirectAccess role on Server 2012 R2

Hi,

 

 

I am installing DirectAccess role on Server 2012 R2 but keep getting below error msg. "The request to add or remove features on the specified server failed. The operation cannot be completed, because the server that you specified requires a restart

 

Done the restart few time but no luck

 

Can someone guide me??

Check these registry keys. sometimes they claim something needs to be done on a reboot that never clears

PendingFileRenameOperations

They are entries under those keys

These entries missing under those keys, this could be a problem?

I don;t think so. Probably means there's a third one I'm not aware of

I have done fresh install again but same problem.

A quick google suggests it might be a group policy setting the logon as a service accounts. either: Assign the Log on as a service user right to NT SERVICE\ALL SERVICES in the GPO that defines the user right OR Exclude the computer from the GPO that defines the user right
