Is anybody having problems logging in to Leicestershire's eis (http://eis.leics.gov.uk/)?

We can log in using RM's transparent proxy proxy.rmplc.co.uk but it's very intermittent via our elderly RM smartcache. Not a browser issue, IE & FF both show same symptoms.

Ta,

Hi Mat

Did you ever get this issue resolved?

We are currently having issues logging into EIS where the browser appears to refresh itself when attempting to login. No error messages shown. When we do manage to login the loaded page does not load correctly, bits missing etc and as soon as you click a link within the page it takes you back to the login box.

Thanks

That sounds like the same problem we have. Testing now, you can log in after a few attempts, and you stay logged in (I didn't try loads of pages). This is better than before, where you were logged out on pretty well every page request.

When I finally got to speak to somebody knowledgeable at Capita (who host and maintain eis), they denied any knowledge of changes which may have caused this problem. Leicestershire CC direct you to Capita. We got around it by using the RM transparent proxy (proxy.rmplc.co.uk) which is unaffected. I suspect RM may have changed something but it'll be nigh impossible to prove it.

May I ask who your isp is and which filtering system you're using?

we are having the same problems I think. Once admin get logged on, any links that she tries to open end up requesting her to log on again.

We are with RM and use safetynet plus if that helps.

Our ISP is RM also! We are using Smoothwall. We also got directed to Capita, but they said go back to your LEA as we do not have a support contract with them.

Certainly looks like an RM issue then. Will keep looking into it further to see what I can work out.

Thanks

...thinking about it, the Support Tech at the Council tried at their end and got the same thing.

I am unable to login via 4G on my phone also. Was informed that there is also some IP authentication with EIS but I'm not sure this is the case as others have told me they have successfully logged in from home.

Did anyone come up with a solution to this? I am getting exactly this problem on some (but not all) of the school PCs. The ones supplied by Leamis for the admin network (now working as a flat network) will not work with the EIS website but Leamis say it is nothing to do with them. CAPITA also will not help.

I have exhausted all avenues...does anyone have any ideas?

To re-state the issue:

I go to https://lcceis.inthehive.net

Most attempts to log in simply throw me back to the login screen

Occasionally I can log in, BUT.....most of the pictures are missing and ANY link I click on throws me back to the log in screen.

My ISP is Exa-Networks. I'm using Window 7 Pro. This happens with Chrome, IE11 & Firefox!!

Yes the solution is to bypass the proxy.

Its seems after investigation by smoothwall that its an issue with the website, but no one at capita is prepared to listen/do anything about it.

Hi Sparkeh,

Problem is, we are not using a proxy.

Dave

Maybe not onsite, but you will be going through Exa-network's proxy, do you use their filtering?

You will probably have to contact them to sort this out.
