I've come into this role on an RM network, it's being flattened during the summer. However in the mean time I'm trying to manage this system, Each time I go to image a machine using RM system builder I keep getting the error; "non-build exception caught" after googling and searching the knowledge base i'm unable to find a solution as RM wont tell me because im not contracted to them anymore. (Great customer service) I was wondering if anyone on here had experienced this at all or had any experience similar to this?

Cheers,

Dan.

Tried that, seems that it worked for a moment, then got to different error where it got stuck after partitioning the hard drives. I adjusted the time out on the partitioning to 5 mins to see if it would skip to the next step and now its back to square one with non build exception caught. What ever that means? Haha!

So when you bought the PC's they originally had Windows 7 on them and you want to rebuild to your RM Win7 image?

I have seen the error thrown up when partitioning the drives before but its because the drive is using GPT instead of MBR. The build client doesnt play well with GPT. We use Gparted to format the partition and then assign it as "msdos" which makes it use MBR. Although this normally happens on Win8 clients that we are building to Win7

have you still got access to the build disks? I've known this to happen when we had too many drivers on the build disk. Try creating a new build disk with just the drivers you need.
