Laptop with serial ports?

Good Afternoon All,

 

So having an issue with a switch and suddenly realise we don't actually have any laptops with serial ports left to connect to the switches... hmm Anyone know of any new laptops that still come with serial ports and don't cost a bomb? Did consider USB->Serial but wondering if it's better to keep it seperate as an techy laptop

Use a USB to Serial Adapter, I console into Network Switches all the time I use these. I also have 8 wired into my home lab.

Until you've seen this place it's hard to understand why I can't keep with with the website

 

There's over 20,000 laptops, desktops & servers here at the moment!

 

In this case these probooks landed a week or two ago but there's currently less than ten of each model. If they sell well and I decide to order hundreds then they'll get some space on the website.

Don't keep the poor thing in the cupboard, let it out and be used, I still have a trolley of D520's at one of my primary schools! Let it into the wild!

 

I would like to add that this isn't by choice, the school has no money for new laptops.
