ozydave Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Hi I have a sever 2012 domain, windows 7 clients Been trying to find how to hide "uninstall or change a program" on windows explorer. I have found a few link which say use the GPO here User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Control Panel -> Programs My GPO's end at Control Panel so don't have the "programs" bit. The GPO to "Prohibit access to the control Panel" is enabled and working but the "uninstall or change a program" seems to get round it Any help would be great
Oaktech Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Hmmm... I've got a programs option in MY GPO console running a 2012r2 DC and functional level 2008r2 as I've got a 2008r2 DC as well... What functional level is your domain running at? Are you managing the GPO from a 2012/w8.1 client or from a windows 7 client? 1
ozydave Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 Thanks for the reply. Just sorted it. 2012 functional level. The control panel ADMX was missing. Re-imported the templates. Can't believe how many times I checked the templates. Off to the opticians for glasses......... Cheers 1
