Deleted Admin User Account

By Accident i deleted the Main admin account from our network.

 

Is there any way i can get it back or do i have to recreate a new one?

I'm not sure this is possible without a restore of AD.

 

Just create a new one there won't be any real issues unless you've used the old one for service accounts.

We had a problem with our exchange 2003 server. The Guy before me set it up with only an 8Gb partition for C: and it had become full. We also have an exchange 2007 server. I thought you could re-create the mailbox by deleting this particular object as it said mailbox. So i went ahead and deleted it and since then nothing has worked right.

You could try restoring it using this free sysinternals tool. I'd be happy to know how you get on as well having never used it in anger:

(btw, the time that these deleted objects are available for restoration, known as the tombstone lifetime, varies but should be at least 60 days)

@timbo343 - If you deleted the default network administrator user "administrator" in AD, then surely you must of have had admin rights yourself to accomplish this?

unless he did it whilst he was in the administrator account.

Nah, luckily im an admin as well, its just that some of the programs that we used to run, we cannot run anymore. Also like on certain files, the network admin was the only one that could look at the files. Now that user has been deleted its a case of finding out which folders Network admin could open.
