Bruce123 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Anyone else done the course and are preparing to take the exam? Thanks, Bruce.
rich_tech Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I have started on the study for it here and its progressing ok so far it seems (Self studying, courses seem mega expensive by comparison with providers from what I see)
featured_spectre Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I did the ccna exploration which covered this. It's actually easier to wrap your head around than the other modules. Best thing to do is read.over and over. I did and walked out with 97% average over the 4 modules and the final exam was 95%. Can't complain at that
littlehoops Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I have been doing the self study route also. I got myself some kit to make a home lab and have read a CCNA review guide by Todd Lammle and a video course from udemy by Lazaro Diaz https://www.udemy.com/the-complete-ccna-200-120-course/#/ If you Google you can normally find a discount code for udemy. I think I got that course for £9. Bruce123 i notice you are in Leeds. I am living in Leeds at the moment, if you want to chat about the CCNA pm me. 1
Miscbrah Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 (edited) On a break from that to do my LPIC first. Think I may also do the CCENT to get ICND1 beforehand too. HOPEFULLY be back on that by the winter, but I'm finding the LPIC hard going. Funky Linux. Edited May 11, 2015 by Miscbrah
Sagima Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Trying to convince my manager to let me go on the courses but as it's 50% of our annual training budget just for me he's been reluctant so far
rich_tech Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 A lot of them can be self studied and you just pay for the exams rather than pay for courses, I didnt realise this until a couple of months back myself, instead of £3000 for a course it can be £45 for 2 books and a bit of a time commitment to work through it all and just pay the exam fees for the same certifications.
cpjitservices Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I did it, I did the old CCNA 3.1 years back. Expired now. I used Todd Lammle's Fast Pass Books. I am looking to doing MS Certs next or LPIC.
