Large format printer recommendations (24")

Hi does anyone have any recommendations for a large format printer (24")? We have currently got an Epson 7890, we've had this about 2 years and our experience with it hasn't been great, couple of faults from new which Epson fixed under warranty, failed print head after 9 months which again Epson thankfully fixed under warranty, fast forward to now and the print head has failed again, after a bit of googling this seems to be a common fault with these and the cost for a replacement is in the region of £1500, i'd rather throw it in the bin and start again.

I can't comment on either of them, but I've just come out of tendering MFD's with an option for wide-format to be included.

 

The models tendered are Canon imageProGraph iPF605/610 and Epson SureColor T3200.

We have a Canon imagePROGRAF iPF815 in our Engineering Department, it's a 44 inch job and is brilliant. Loved by the staff and reliable to boot.

We have had a Canon iPF8100 for 5(ish) years. It has had the heads replaced but given the use, that is unsurprising. I think that is just the price of running a large format printer. It costs us about £2.5K to fill ours with ink!

I'm just waiting back on pricing for a HP PageWide XL 4000 after reading sonofsanta's review of the smaller models - they look fantastic but I imagine the price will be eye watering!
