Jack Screw standoffs

Can anyone help me source these, http://cpc.farnell.com/startech/screwnut4-40/50-pack-4-40-jack-screw-standoffs/dp/CS11298

 

We've got them missing from various cables/promethean boards I'd just like to get some more so the connections are more soild as a few times the loose cables has resulted in a flickering display.

Don't know if there's a certain size you need need, or is it just the same ones basically?

Well I think the star-tech ones are designed for the VGA cables which is what I'm after it for. If the Hex bit is too long then the pins from the VGA cable wont reach the holes in the female side.

 

I just extracted one from a Displayport to DVI adapter and the thread is quite long while the Hex bit is quite short, the thread length shouldn't be an issue as long as it does a few turns but the Hex side of things may.

 

Doing a bit more reading it appears as though the star-tech ones must be the standard measurements for these type of "screws"

 

OK I just measured this one and the Hex bit is only 5mm and the RS ones are 10mm at the small end which is a shame. They do a 5mm one but its an M3 which is too small.

Those should be perfect! No idea how I never spotted those before. Just a shame the minimum order is 100. I only need like 10 or so. I could in a pinch take them from the Displayport to DVI adapters but I don't really think thats a good idea because then I'll need to use one of them and it wont have the standoffs in.

Haha always the way isn't it But aren't they normally 50-100 packs?
