Google search engine problem PLEASE HELP

Hi Everyone.

 

i have a problem with Google search.

when you go to the google webpage and then type in a search Eg BBC.

the search then list everything for bbc as per normal, however when you select one to go to it doesnt go that site instead it goes to another nothing to do with the site you want to go to.

 

so if i searched BBC on google then clicked on the bbc website link in google it goes to another site and it always goes to this particular site no matter what you search for.

what is wrong. Please can someone shed some light on this. is it a virus or something. i have Norton and i have ran this already and all ok.

 

if you type web site in then its ok.l its only from google.

You need to find another PC and download a program that will kill it!

I suspect it is MyWebSearch or something similar

The BBC at the end is what you choose to go to from google

so if i search itv in google it shows all the itv searches. i choose the first sight listed in google which is ITV Home i click on that and it goes to

http://www.webcry.com/search.php?qq=itv

I would highly recommend downloading and creating a UBCD http://www.ubcd4win.com/ its a bootable copy of windows that comes with spyware and virus removal tools all free and legal. That way you can give it a thorough clean no matter how cluttered the machine is.

WebCry is definately a virus. I had this on my home pc a few years ago now, far as I remember I used the method suggested in the post above ^ and it was fine after that.
