Hi,

We've used Xibo, ShowPoint, and OneLAN at various points in the past to display content on out two reception digital signage TV's. However, what we are after now is a slightly different, more dynamic, solution and I'm struggling to find a suitable solution.

We use two big whiteboards in our foyer which staff use to write messages on at the beginning of the school day. ("Joe Smith and MaX Davies see Mrs Wilson in H2 at Lunch", "Music rehearsals in hall after school", "7x3 in ICT3 Period2"). It's a big part of the school culture that everyone looks at the boards on their way in of a morning and checks for notices relevant to them (yes I know form tutors should be reading this stuff out during registration).

The problem is the whiteboards do look a bit of a mess. I can't help thinking their has to be a better technical solution, but I can't see it. I thought Xibo+Twitter it's open to abuse and doesn't allow enough tweets to be displayed. I thought Google Forms but then the issue becomes display the data in the underlying spreadsheet neatly. RSS feed into Xibo - but how do staff add to the feed easily?

Ideally we'd like staff to e-mail a dedicated mailbox that is picked up and displayed.

Looking again at OneLAN and also MediaCAT but not 100% sure these are the right solutions. Anyone got any good ideas or recommendations?

I'm looking for something similar, just something showing tweets from an account.

Best I've come across so far is tweetmonsters.com and visibletweets.com. Would like an amalgamation of these (ie one that shows images and doesn't need to be logged in). Surely someone here can whip something up??
