MrFrostmaul Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Hi, Recently Rolled out Office 2013 to the entire school, so far going good apart from the staff usual moans and groans of change. Trying to disable the Share Tab under File (http://i.imgur.com/wwTPqYb.png) via GPO, I have managed to do everything else but cannot find something to do this. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks
fiza Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 @MrFrostmaul - I know you didn't get any responses here but I wondered if you found a solution to this?
MrFrostmaul Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 Hi, haven't had any luck with this so far. Going to be looking into it in more depth soon.
minimoo Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Do the following help: Customizing Office 2013 backstage - Visual Studio Office Development (VSOD) Support Team - Site Home - MSDN Blogs https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee691833.aspx I'm guessing it might be a case of customising default template?
Arthur Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) Anyone know how to do this? To disable the entire Share tab in the Backstage View you need to enter the relevant control ID of the tab - in this case 18147 - in the Disable commands GPO: User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Microsoft Word 2013 \ Disable Items in User Interface \ Custom Note. Each Office program has its own Disable commands GPO so you will need to do the same for Excel, PowerPoint etc. http://vgy.me/u5CKUC.png http://vgy.me/7UnfDX.png Edited May 9, 2015 by Arthur Typo
MrFrostmaul Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 Thank you Worked fine. Completely forgot about the control ID's.
