Interactive Screens

Hello,

We are looking at purchasing some interactive screens. What do people have installed and how do they find the quality? Has anyone any experiences of C-Touch / Vivid Touch / Smart / Ben Q screens?

 

Any comments would be much appreciated.

We have half a dozen of the smart 6065 ones in our primary school - buying 10 more in the summer (running at 1080p for the moment). The staff are very happy with them with the exception of the lack of a "freeze" option. We looked at the clevertouch boards which were a bit bigger and seemed nicer to look at from a distance but the staff didn't like using them up close. We also looked at the genie? and ctouch ones but the staff liked the smart ones the best.

 

We also have some Epson interactive projectors (EB-595Wi) which are becoming popular in the high school - none of the interactive screens have managed to convince anyone in that part of the school - bigger is apparently better and 100" interactive projection wins them over anything else. (I suspect they also really like the fact that it projects onto a whiteboard they can use pens on if they want (a fair chunk of our staff would still be on chalk and blackboards if they could)

We have a Smart 4065 on test this week, very impressed with quality of the board and presicion of the touch. It also has a freeze function although called "still" now. It also ticks the box that the staff are used to smart and use it alot.

 

We haved trialled as many boards as possible and we think this may fit our needs.

 

Depends on your needs and current use in my view, contact the manufacturers for a demo board for each brand that you fancy and try it out. I had hopes for some boards but they did not fit the bill so you may be suprised at the outcome.

 

Also if it is a big financial desicion and you have done your homework then you know you made the choice on your experience rather than a bias to a particular brand.
