witch Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 I'm sure this is a silly question but I have downloaded some new fonts at the request of a teacher, but when she tries to write using them, the font reverts to Calibri after a couple of characters. This is Office 2013. Does anyone know why this is happening?
sonofsanta Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 It's not anything to do with Styles, is it? Maybe try updating the Normal style to use the new font, instead of just changing the font. 1

witch Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 A new document. If I write something and then highlight it I can change it to the new font - I just can't write in it in the first place! Some newly installed fonts seem OK but this one, Sassoon Infant, is driving me nuts!
Alfred_Bester Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Have you tried making the Sassoon font the default font? I have just had to install this font and provided the school with the instructions and they seem to be happy. They are using 2010, so I am not sure if this would make a difference?

With regards to the font issue, what format is the font? Open Type, PostScript or TrueType?

Michael Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 That's interesting you've already tried both. I have imported the same/similar fonts, but all my sites are currently using Office 2010, but 2013 should behave the same when it comes to fonts (he says) ORK once run extracts ADM/ADMX templates, which are then importable with existing Windows ones. You can do the same with Chrome for example, so you can tweak settings for Office/Chrome just as you can Windows. 1
