Youtube issues?

Anyone else on SWGfL unable to access Youtube this morning? We're suddenly being redirected to the secure version of the site and then that returns unable to connect.

Can access youtube via SWGFL staff proxy with no issues

Do you have Youtube for Schools enabled at that school @witch?

I am able to access it here through the staff proxy- filtered as standard.

No - not here anymore. Have got it at other school - will look when I get there later

Not on SWGfl but also being redirected to the secure version of YouTube as of this morning, which will not work.

 

Can't find a fix, they've probably changed something, as they usually do. They seem to be pushing towards enforcing secure connections to YouTube now.

Well, I just tried something - even though I was logged in to the staff proxy fine it wouldn't load Youtube. So I closed the browser and re-logged in. Youtube then worked on the staff proxy.

 

Still can't access it via the normal proxy though - its still redirecting from http to https. SWGfL so far have told me twice that "Youtube for schools has an issue" and the first time they pointed me at their website, the issue being with their signup process being broken. It certainly isn't that issue. This is something new!
