Bankesy Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Hello Having recently restored an users account and mailbox from a backup they now cannot receive e-mail from anybody? Looking at the attached can anybody point me in the right direction? The account in question would have previously been migrated from 2003 to 2010 when we made the switch last year but I guess it just goes back on directly now. I notice in some of the older accounts have an X400 address as well as SMTP if this makes any difference? Thank you
Grey-gear Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 (edited) in the properties of the user in exchange do you have that e-mail address that is displayed in the image in your post under the e-mail address tab? Edited April 16, 2015 by Grey-gear
MatthewL Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Are you selecting the address drop your drop down (NK2), if so when you have this press the delete key and delete that entry and search from the global and try and send and see if that works.
Bankesy Posted April 17, 2015 Author Posted April 17, 2015 Removing the entry from auto-fill works for me and individual users. Is there not a way I can apply this change globally?
MatthewL Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 You would have to delete the NK2 file from within the users profile but it would then delete all the drop down addresses the user has got.
Bankesy Posted April 20, 2015 Author Posted April 20, 2015 Is there not a way to remove the entry from the GAL and then put it back or force the GAL to update?
Bankesy Posted April 21, 2015 Author Posted April 21, 2015 In the end this did it: Manually Update Global Address List (GAL) on Exchange 2010
