digone52 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 We have a user who needs to access teachernet.gov.uk DNS lookup of that domain fails with non-existent domain. It has been down for the last two weeks evidently. I wouldn't know who to contact. Any thoughts? Ta.
SovietRussia Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Cant get it to here either - would suggest its been removed... Try contacting someone at DfE
Michael Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Performing a 'whois' reveals an address. You might be able to get a phone number based on these details maybe?
mrwobbly Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 It closed in 2011. https://joinup.ec.europa.eu/node/123707
elsiegee40 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) The DfE closed teachernet and governornet and everything they deemed essential was migrated onto their central website. Quite a lot of resources were lost in the process. It is all on .gov.uk... just not called teachernet. @digone52 What exactly is required from a website that is so long since dead? digone52 Posted April 13, 2015 Author Posted April 13, 2015 A very good question. I think that the person who reported this to me is going for a lie down! I suspect no more to be done.
