rich_tech Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Seems fine on my phone so far, been trying to get OS X 10.10.3 on my phone since it went live, it's like dialup though downloading the 2 gb

Carter Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I'd give the update a week before updating. Many Users Reporting Touch ID Not Working in App Store on iOS 8.3 .

Only visible through the settings App.: This release includes improved performance, bug fixes, and a redesigned Emoji keyboard. Changes include: Improved performance for: App launch App responsiveness To me it seems like all they did is reduce the parallax effect duration rather than a real difference, hmm. I'd give the update a week before updating. Many Users Reporting Touch ID Not Working in App Store on iOS 8.3 Mine (since 8.2) seems to always ask for a password just to "Update All" but doing them individually doesn't require a password.
abillybob Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Git's. The lot of em. Just re-imaged 60 iPads with iOS 8.2! Grrrr.
Carter Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Mine (since 8.2) seems to always ask for a password just to "Update All" but doing them individually doesn't require a password. Only time I've ever had that issue is if I had an app that was installed via my other Apple ID. That would be annoying to get that for updates. If you don't use Touch ID maybe 8.3 is your fix

elsiegee40 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Mine (since 8.2) seems to always ask for a password just to "Update All" but doing them individually doesn't require a password. I have auto update swutched on and very rarely do updates manually ... not a problem. As for app s4ore purchases, it's not something I do frequently, so again I wouldn't notice any problems.
RowlandoGloom Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Git's. The lot of em. Just re-imaged 60 iPads with iOS 8.2! Grrrr. And they'll remain to be so. I bet no sooner 8.4 will be out as they started beta testing it already. They're also supposed to be working on iOS 9.... http://www.macrumors.com/2015/02/09/apple-working-on-ios-8-4-new-music-service/ Luckily most of our 300 iPads are given to the students - so they can update them themselves, but it's still great when somebody can't do something, bring it in and it's still got iOS 7 on!

If you don't use Touch ID maybe 8.3 is your fix It seems to be fixed now in 8.3 Updates appeared and update all finally worked. I like to manually update my phone myself to see what the change logs are for certain apps.
slancaster Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 we have lots of discovery / connectivity issues with our ATVs within a school environment. Fingers crossed for a fix, and a central way of managing / updating the ATVs would be great too...

psydii Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 @slancaster and @RowlandoGloom: What wireless system are you using? Does it have a bonjour gateway feature?
slancaster Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Got about 30 ATVs on site. The "reliable" ones seem to be the ones used daily. The others are hit and miss, its almost like they go to sleep and don't "wake" correctly (even though sleep is set to off)
Zoom7000 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Updated my iPhone 6 Plus with no issues. Noticed quite a few long standing annoying bugs have been fixed! [emoji4]
slancaster Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 @slancaster and @RowlandoGloom: What wireless system are you using? Does it have a bonjour gateway feature? CISCO set up here, I don't believe it has a bonjour gateway feature but i'd have to check...
psydii Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 Bonjour Gateway Deployment Guide 7.4 - Bonjour Deployment [Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers] - Cisco or if you've not got that feature available: Wireless LAN Apple Bonjour Deployment Guide - Cisco 1
RowlandoGloom Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 @slancaster and @RowlandoGloom: What wireless system are you using? Does it have a bonjour gateway feature? Currently using a Juniper system with no Bonjour gateways / filtering etc. basically can't afford £40k for a decent Meraki system. Management know it won't work unless, but want it to work anyway.

The others are hit and miss, its almost like they go to sleep and don't "wake" correctly (even though sleep is set to off) I seem to have exactly the same. Of course lots of staff have lost their remotes....! Then it's a case of physically unplug it and plug it in again.
psydii Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 Well, you may find the Cisco guide useful... It basically tells you how to do it without having support built into the controller. (You do need vlans and inter-vlan routing, but since you have a juniper wireless you probably have that set up on your switches already)
spc-rocket Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Hello all, Does anyone know what urls are used for apple ios downloads. Since 8.3 is out, most of our devices are are downloading it which we want to be more in control off. I was thinking of blocking the urls so it doesn't work until we're ready to a) support it and 2) deploy it. Thanks, Ash.
Arthur Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Does anyone know what URLs are used for apple iOS downloads. Try blocking appldnld.apple.com/ios8.3/. Source: osxdaily.com/2015/04/08/ios-8-3-update-download-ipsw/
