I am replacing an ancient Cisco switch with a HP ProCurve 2920 I have done most of the config but struggling with the differing proprietary commands for a few of the settings on the HP. I have just 2 vlans setup and need to replicate the below config on the new HP switch (have grabbed the section of config from the existing Cisco switch): spanning-tree mode pvst no spanning-tree optimize bpdu transmission spanning-tree extend system-id ! ! ! ! interface FastEthernet0/1 switchport access vlan 2 no cdp enable ! interface FastEthernet0/2 switchport access vlan 2 no cdp enable ! interface FastEthernet0/3 switchport access vlan 2 no cdp enable ! interface FastEthernet0/4 switchport access vlan 2 no cdp enable ! interface FastEthernet0/5 switchport access vlan 2 switchport trunk native vlan 2 switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,2,1002-1005 switchport mode trunk no cdp enable spanning-tree portfast ! interface FastEthernet0/6 switchport access vlan 2 switchport trunk native vlan 2 switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,2,1002-1005 switchport mode trunk no cdp enable spanning-tree portfast ! interface FastEthernet0/7 switchport access vlan 2 switchport trunk native vlan 2 switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,2,1002-1005 switchport mode trunk no cdp enable spanning-tree portfast ! interface FastEthernet0/8 switchport access vlan 2 switchport trunk native vlan 2 switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,2,1002-1005 switchport mode trunk no cdp enable spanning-tree portfast Many thanks
StephenHardy Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 HP switches, you can do most in the config menu especially the spanning tree stuff. Set your VLANS there and tag your ports and away you go
