Have used APC UPS supplies previously but just had second one die on me, came in the other week to it whistling away, reset it, charged it up and it fails when it gets sone load on it so think its a gonner, checked it out using the software and it passed all the tests but fails in reality so probably time for s new one. As this is the second one to go down in a few years, do I just stick with APC or go to another make...any recommendations? Got two servers running (or did!) of current one and could do with about 45 min cover. Office just got a new server and UPS but cant remember off hand what UPS that was, looked a big beast for a single server but they said it would give 50min cover.

just installed (Today) Eaton 3kva 5px series ups (Eaton 5PX UPS) with the additional Battery Module and NIC etc.

Very Very impressed 9 mins runtime at full load (10 dual PSU Dell R610, Cachebox, 2 HP switches, monitor, 3 synology 12 Bay NAS & dual PSU Broadberry server !)

*need to state its not going to stay like this ! i bought x 2 of these and will be load balancing them but had to get everything back online asap as we still have staff in / out for the next few days.

hope this helps

I would recommend Eaton based on others experiences, but from personal experience I am very happy with the Power Tecnique iSaxon that I had installed to hold up my last place. Half the price of the equivalent APC and easier to configure.
