She knows what the problem is, she asked for the quote, what she didn't ask for is the weird-ass VDI thing, that is all the support chap's concoction.

Fair enough - my suggestion was from the "don't bring me problems, bring me solutions" school. It is something I look for (and try and deliver) but might not be appropriate.

My brief was literally 'what do you think of this' and I didn't think very much of it!

 

I understand what you're saying, and I'm sure 'bring me a solution' will be my next task, and one that I will be only too pleased to accommodate.
