Stone for desktops

Used to be Dell for laptops but they wouldn't supply with SSDs so last batch were Fujitsu; decent price, OK build quality but not brilliant. Lenovo would be another preferred option but I believe they've only just started shipping SSD models after seeing the demand at BETT for them

Just called our current/previous local supplier after three weeks of them having my computer. (just found out,National Oilwell Varco supply oil using A cool bit of Tech)

I found a fault on all of their machines. Been trying to contact them about the issues and either cannot get through or get told that the engineers either havnt looked a it yet or not communicating with each other as theres no trace.

Have now lost all confidence in them as they still havnt found the issue or offered a temporary replacement.

As a Lenovo Gold Partner and education specialist we would be delighted to assist with helping to identify the right product and provide an evaluation loan unit. The current hot laptop product is the Lenovo ThinkPad 11e which is designed specifically for education with addition reinforcement and is available as a laptop or Yoga (convertible Laptop/ Tablet) with Windows or Chromebook OS's. For desktops the obvious options are the space saving M73e Tiny Form Factor which can now be mounted in the new Tiny-in-One monitor, providing security from prying hands! Call us today and we would be delighted to discuss further.

Can anyone comment on Fujitsu stuff?

Can either get i3 Lenovo desktops with 2 year warranty for cheap or pay for i5 Fujitsu's with 1 year for just under what i said we could get desktops for in the bid.

Looking at the [h=1]ESPRIMO E420[/h]Thinking, il get these, swap out the SSDs the previous tech put in the old machines as the i5 would benefit even more than i3's and then move the i3 machines out of ICT and into classrooms.

.

I have had Fujitsu desktops for 18 months and have had no problems at all

the other school are getting Lenovos

Desktops are all @VeryPC - can't beat 'em

Laptops are all Toshiba Sat Pros, the build quality did dip for a while and I almost dropped them but the latest ones we got in seem to be better made.

We have, *takes a deep breath*

RM, VeryPC, Acer, Lenovo, HP, Fujitsu, Dell, Toshiba, Asus, Samsung, and 1 sony... Yeah, we buy what ever is cheapest/best value really...

Have to say for build quality, VeryPC and Lenovo are the best, although the last batch of Lenovo's I have purchased I was slightly disappointed by - 1 faulty mobo, and 1 broken power switch in a batch of 32.

Wow, hope you have a good deployment solution :)

Had a chat with very pc and stone. Very PC does look good, will have to compare prices nearer to the purchase time with the Lenovos and do a bit of negotiating. Just waiting to get a rough quote from stone.

Still not keen on hp's but the HP 400PD SFF seem tempting, look decent and cheaper than most quotes ive been getting in.

Thanks Stuart, Will make contact with you.

CC4 - just import the drivers and off you go! (if you can find the right driver on the website that is...)
