Your SIMS Teacher app School Services have previously been online but they are not at the moment. Speak to your IT administrator to ensure the services are switched on and connected. vikpaw Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) to the forums. Have you asked your support company? What account does the service run as? There was an issue for some to do with using the right account : It wouldn't work until the SSMConnector account was used - not sure if it's relevant, full thread here: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/mis-systems/150772-sims-teacher-app.html Edited April 2, 2015 by vikpaw add welcome
FRS Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Hi I am using SSMconnector account to log in... Note.. I checked the configuration it is set to windows authentication .. Not sql server .could this the problem
Blackcatowner Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 We had that error message and Capita dialled in to look at it. Turned out the SSM service needed to be restarted, it's been working fine since then.
ass17 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Two things: in SSM don't use Windows auth, use an SQL account. Then restart the services for both teacher app services in SSM. If you want to create a user then please contact me tomorrow and I'll be happy to help.
vikpaw Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Updates Offlineworking now available The latest release of the SIMS Teacher app for iOS will add this much-requestedfeature. It allows teachers to download their day’s lessons and then accessthese where no internet connection is available – for example out on the gamesfield, walking between buildings or on a school day trip. Theycan take registration, record achievement and behaviour and view studentdetails when offline. Downloaded data is securely cached on the teacher’sdevice until they re-connect, when the data auto-syncs back to SIMS.
ass17 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Offline mode will not work if you impersonate another member of staff. Impersonation will only work when ONLINE. This is by design
winng Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 As we appear to be offline all the time maybe this will help lol
SimonCygnetIT Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I have had this error a couple of times. Restarting the service sometimes worked but in the end I went back to Capita and obtained a new license key. This error tends to happen if you leave it too long between receiving the email that contains the installation link and doing the actual activation. I think the time limit is something akin to 1-2 weeks. Could be wrong though. Any way the new licence key solved the problem. Oh and just make sure that there are no spaces at the end or the beginning of the key when you paste it in to SSM.
