Morning All,

Just trying to trace down what's killing our internet as it's constantly bombing out recently (only 30MB but its maxing out every now and then for a while) and noticed our biggest single thing is clienttemplates.content.office.net.

Of 20GB bytes out it's using 1/3 of it, am I right in thinking this is gonna be the Office 2013 templates section (aka new file)? And if so would there be any major issues with caching that locally or will it upset office? :p

Thanks,

Steve

Did you have any luck with this? I am having the same issue my smoothwall is reporting 1.5GB and although I have added the url to smoothwall's blocked list it still seems to be reporting high.

My campus is having the same issues with these updates from clienttemplates.content.office.net

Anyone find any good solutions to this? I have a SCCM distribution point and would be more than happy to add the content updates to our local server for updating, but I am unable to find a way to complete this.

One solution that worked for us was to prevent Office from connecting to the Internet with the GPO below, although this might not be an option for some people.

User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Tools | Options | General | Service Options... \ Online Content \
