I've just reinstalled our SCCM on to another box. (old one started to bluescreen)

 

Moving on...

 

I'm now getting these errors:

 

Site Component Manager failed to install this component, because the Microsoft Installer File for this component (portlweb.msi) could not install.

 

Refer to the SMSPortalWebSetup.log, the PortlWebMSI.log, as well as the ConfigMgr Documentation and the Microsoft Knowledge Base for further information.

Site Component Manager failed to install this component on this site system.

 

Solution: Review the previous status messages to determine the exact reason for the failure. Site Component Manager will automatically retry the installation in 60 minutes. To force Site Component Manager to immediately retry the installation, stop and restart Site Component Manager using the Configuration Manager Service Manager.

Thats another story about backups @FM-GM, Just put it this way, The NAS it was backing up on failed without warning on the day i needed...

 

So i'm doing this from base up, No backups, No Help (just the docs i had from last time, I can just about read my writing mind..

So it is a clean installation? Im really confused how you got this far.

Just noticed my error in the 1st post.

 

Yes clean install. Server 2012r2. With sccm 2012 r2.

Are all the prerequisites like BITS IIS extensions etc installed role wise?

 

Edit - (Should show up in MpMSI.log if it is that)

Seems an IIS/BITS issue.

 

You disabled custom ports on the primary site?

Where would i be looking?

 

Admin -> Overview -> Site Config -> Sites -> Right click your site and go properties -> Ports -> Bottom checkbox.

Ive justed added the 8080 port
