What do you all use for cropping photos easily. (e.g. 4:3) and doing things like brightness and contrast? We used to use Microsoft Office Picture Manager but that was lost when we updated to Microsoft Office 2013 :(

 

I deployed Live Photo Gallery a few years back but that now crashes on Win7 SP1 and Win8.1.

Paint does it, although i agree Microsoft Office Picture Manager was the best basic editor. Shame they didn't include it in 2013

Just to add another to the list: Photoscape.

 

It's free and has plenty of features (batch editing, GIF creator, RAW conversion etc)

IrfanView has been my quick 'n' easy tool of choice for well over a decade now. Set Photoshop as an external editor and you can open the current image in Photoshop with a single key press (Ctrl+E) for when you want to do something a bit more serious to a file.
