[iphone] iPhone 6 proxy settings getting lost

Hi all,

 

I have a member of staffs' iPhone 6 in the office that I'm trying to get connected to the Internet via our wireless network. The wireless settings can be entered successfully and a connection is made to the access point however when I enter the proxy details they never save. Each time the details are entered when returning to the wireless network settings tab the proxy is set to 'none'. I have performed the same procedure to 100's of Apple devices but this is the newest device on campus.

Anyone got any advice on how to remedy this error?

Are there any profiles installed on the device that might be overriding your settings? You could create a profile with the wireless settings in and email it to the user to install.

I've found that sometimes, it's better to unjoin from the wireless network, but before re-joining it, specify the proxy settings then join the WiFi. 9 times out of 10 it seems to retain it better.
