Novalee Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 So one of our IP cameras is faulty and has been emailing over the weekend every time it 'flickers' off and online. The result is 140k emails... I can't open the mailbox in Outlook desktop as it crashes everytime I try. I can open it in web outlook but the emails are listed individually...it's going to take days to delete them all! Has anyone got any brainwaves?
Michael Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Delete the mailbox altogether and create a new one of the same name?
apearce Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Hi - have you tried creating a rule which will move all the items into the delete items bin or a folder which you can then delete? and of course empty the recycle bin? 2
Michael Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Alternatively, can't you just configure said account in Microsoft Outlook 2010 or later, configure as IMAP, then select all and delete this way?
JRowley Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) Powershell? Search-Mailbox -Identity "" -DeleteContent -Force Not tried it myself as I've never needed too, but this appears to be the most sensible approach. Note this will delete everything. Edited March 18, 2015 by JRowley
