I can't stop playing it. My only vice with this one is that there is a subscription option which comes up. Only if you click on the extra levels though...

I had hours of fun playing Code Combat when I first found it, so much fun and the graphics are nostalgic.

@LosOjos that's so cool, I've never seen that one before?! I love these coding games springing up at the moment.

Not a fun gaming one but Code Monster from Crunchzilla is pretty good for learning Java

That looks great! Ruby Warrior is a similar kind of thing, and is one of the first of these programming games that I became aware of (goes back to 2008 iirc).

Code Combat looks excellent, I will be suggesting we use that in some lessons next year! Out of curiosity I tried the website on my iPad. I wasn't expecting it to work, which it didn't, but I did get a message to say their native iOS app is awaiting approval from Apple. Will definitely be interested in that when it is available!
