Classroom Laptops - Class sets.

Just out of interest.

 

when staff book laptops. Who moves them. Who still uses class sets of laptops. We got a few rooms (1 in each department that has a classroom with network points.

The staff who books them moves the trolley.

Most rooms/departments now have a permanent laptop cabinet/storage and it is up to the respective departments to book and transport laptops. (Most don't move that far)

Where I work now the pupils come and get the laptops - if the teachers want them all they sometimes come and carry them down themselves.

 

At my previous school I had to move them - i.e. me and only me (the only IT tech in the whole secondary school) and there were 3 sets of ipads and 2 sets of laptops - all had to arrive at the appropiate classroom scattered all around the school when the bell sounded - a logical impossibility! Fortunatly the teachers in that school were friendly and understanding - like all teachers (joke).
