Disable sleep key via registry?

We recently acquired a bunch of keyboards with sleep keys on. Whilst we could log in to each machine and change the setting within windows, it would of course be easier to assign en-masse a reg fragment to disable this for us. Anyone know of the location within the registry this option it stored? It's the one that allows you to choose "Do nothing" when sleep key is pressed!

Can't you use the power settings GPO for this? Or do you specifically want reg key?

We tend not to use vanilla GPOs as it's CC4 and find in these cases applying a reg fragment is easier in the absence of a preset option

I wasn't aware you could config the sleep button in BIOS? The power button (on the chassis) you generally can, but not the sleep button on keyboard? This is an OS setting?

It looked very likely, but changing the setting within Windows doesn't appear to change or add any entry in or around that area, even in the sub-keys.

Can with AHCI on some I'm sure. U can on mine but its top end.

Did anyone manage to find a registry setting for this? I too have acquired a whole load of keyboards with sleep buttons and would like a quick way of disabling them, but can't use GPO due to CC4.

Can't you create a test OU, apply a test GPO, then look at GPP Power options? This may then give you a clue as to the necessary registry changes which (to be honest), are probably complex and in all kinds of different areas. It does astonish me how RM (from the sounds of things), have pretty much locked out a lot if not all power options?

Nothing astonishes me about RM CC4 anymore! I'm just a bit nervous about tinkering with AD and GPO as you can do some serious damage to CC4 should anything go wrong!
